There was one moment in Israel's history where praise and worship reached its highest level. The Ark of the Covenant had sojourned in a strange land.  David succeeded in rescuing the ark and now was bringing it to its rightful home in Jerusalem.  It was here that the people of Israel danced, sang, and worshipped their Lord in a most moving and historic expression of exultation.  David brought new understanding and patterns of praise and worship to the people of Jerusalem.  There was freedom of expressive worship.  David invented many musical instruments (1Chronicles 23:5) which brought forth a strong development of music and the arts which consisted of singers, choirs, orchestral music and prophetic music.

Today at New Life in Christ we enjoy a variety of Praise and Worship expressions as well.  The main purpose of the music ministry is to glorify God.  New Life Praise Team, Sounds of Praise Choir, Angelic Choir, Praise Dancing, Signing and Silent Praise are some of the ways we edify the body of Christ and evangelize through music.  We purpose to further spread the good news of salvation to a lost and hurting people and to minister to the needs of believers through varying degrees of music as well as minister encouragement, comfort, peace, healing and hope to the discouraged, depressed, sick, oppressed and hopeless.
